Forum Rules

This forum is intended for supporters and friends of the Scottish Republican Socialist Movement, however since membership is not a requirement of this forum, consequently not all views expressed on this forum will be those of the SRSM.

What follows is the most up to date version of the rules, when the SRSM meets, they can be amended.

If you disagree with any of the following rules, tough.

1. The moderators' decisions are final and binding.

2. No "free" e-mail addresses are allowed on this forum. This is to stop agent provocateurs, spies, lurkers and disruptive elements.

3. Trolls are defined by Wikipedia as: "someone who comes into an established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts inflammatory, rude or offensive messages designed intentionally to annoy and antagonize the existing members or disrupt the flow of discussion." Once a consensus between the moderators has been established that an individual fits this description that individual will receive a yellow card as a warning. If the behaviour continues, that person and their IP address will be banned.

4. Any sensitive material from hidden boards is hidden for a reason. If the material is passed on, the user concerned will initially lose all privileges to the hidden boards for a period of one month. If misconduct continues, then that user will be deleted. Moderator discretion is applicable.

5. Disagreements should be conducted in a fair and equitable basis. If they are not, this disrupts everyone's reading pleasure. Initially the threads concerned may be moved to the "Fight Club" section or locked. After that the moderators will make a judgement call.
