Comrades the Republican movement has the James Larkin RFB back on the road again after PSF/Cairde na hEireann decided after over ten years on the road to dispense with the band. Some original and committed Republicans decided that the great mans name and the RFB in his honour should be maintained and continued, so after weeks of recruitment and practice JLRFB made its debut last night in the Liverpool Dockers Casa Club in a solidarity night for the Leeds binmen who have been on all out strike now for over 11 weeks.
JLRFB were well received by the trades unionists and socialists present and will go onto do more marches and benefits for republican, socialist, progressive and anti-fascist/racist causes in Liverpool, across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
The JLRFB wishes to thank especially, the Scottish comrades who have helped the band and who are full members and all those who have stood by the project to keep the band despite PSF closing down the band.
